Anne Martel (EMBA 20)

Anne Martel (EMBA 20) is the new General Manager France of Electrolux! This graduate from an Executive MBA at ESCP and from Arts et Métiers is an experienced Sales Director with a demonstrated history of working in the consumer goods industry. First in the SEB group where she held various sales and marketing positions, before joining Electrolux France in 2010 where she was Commercial Director for nearly 4 years and also piloted the Trademarketing strategy for the last 2 years, contributing to the expansion of the Swedish brand on the French market.
With her appointment, a new chapter of the international group opens "motivated by its strong commitments to offer innovative solutions to consumers, responds perfectly to current economic and ecological challenges.

 

 

 

Simona Dallera (EMBA 15)

With a 13 years’ experience in leading international teams in Europe, US, Middle-East and South America, Italian-born Alumna Simona Dallera (EMBA 15) will be the new Head of Engagement of Deliveroo France. Committed to working in places where she could create a positive impact, she started her career piloting an NGO in Amsterdam before she moved to Paris to join the Executive MBA at ESCP and work in the Tourism sector managing the Operation of SANDEMANs NEW Europe Tours in 12 countries. She then headed South to Barcelona to become Director of Finance, Administration and Social Impact of Tectonica Digital Campaign Solutions, a communication agency accompanying change-making strategies for actors of the public sector, before joining Deliveroo in Paris in June 2022.

Tobias Henning (EMBA 15)

In 2020, Tobias Henning became TikTok’s first General Manager in Germany, one of its core markets as the company started to expand across Europe. “TikTok is a unique and innovative entertainment platform. The incredibly creative ideas of our diverse user and creator community impress me over and over again,” said Tobias. Prior to joining the social video giant, he was working as General Manager Premium at publishing group Axel Springer, where he oversaw digital operations for news brands including Bild and Welt. Tobias started his career at international law firm Hengeler Mueller, among others.

 

 

 

Alberto Cresto (16)

As an investment expert with more than 6 years of experience in strategic consulting, mergers & acquisitions and venture capital, Alberto Cresto (16) has already led more than 30 investment operations in the United States and in Europe, involving some of the most promising deeptech start-ups internationally. He is now Principal at Lunar Ventures, a Berlin-based Venture Capital specializing in this sector. This company has already invested in 16 start-ups across Europe working on disruptive technologies including Zama, Deepset and Molecule.  Forbes Italia has just highlighted his rich career by making Alberto Cresto part of its prestigious selection of the "30 Under 30"!

 

Julie Joly (MS 98)

As a true media expert and a hardened journalist, Julie Joly (MS 98) has just taken over the reins of the General Management of the weekly French newspaper "L'Obs". Her mission is to strengthen the place of the magazine in the French press ecosytem, both anchored in its history and turned towards modernity, by continuing to play an essential role in all the topical debates. In 1998, she realized her vocation as a journalist at ESCP: after graduating with the MS Média, she became a permanent correspondent in Frankfurt for La Tribune. She then joined L'Express, where she became Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Society department.
Convinced that it is an opportunity to work in the field of her choice and thus be able to open up to the world, she took over in 2012 the head of the CFJ (Training School for Journalists) for 9 years before founding the W School, a digital content production school, with the aim of training the younger generations to work in the press of tomorrow.

 

Grégoire Cazcarra (22)

Still attending classes at ESCP, Grégoire Cazcarra (22) is nonetheless already an Alumni, having at heart to uphold his values ??of commitment and citizenship. At 22, he co-created Elyze, an application allowing you to find your ideal candidate for the elections, with the aim of reconciling the younger generations with politics. Nicknamed the "Tinder of French Presidential Elections", it quickly rose to the top of the download charts and even circulated in the HQs of political parties. But Grégoire is not at his first attempt: already invested in the citizen movement Les Engagés!, which he founded and has chaired since 2017, he is publishing his second book entitled "Aux Urnes!" this month. (Flammarion), a few months after the success of his first work "Génération Engagée".

 

Catherine Brel (MS 98)

Catherine Brel (MS 98) takes over as head of the Legal and Public Affairs department of the Lithuanian second-hand unicorn startup Vinted, which is expanding rapidly across Europe. With its practical and legal knowledge of digital technology, its mission will be to support its development by paying attention to the confidence in the platform carried by its members. After starting out as a lawyer, she embarked on a rich corporate career, particularly in the world of Tech, with responsibilities within the legal departments of Amazon, Yahoo and then eBay, where she was appointed Legal Director Business Development EU. Before joining Vinted, she had been deputy Legal Director of the Renault group since 2016.

 

Laura De Winne (12)

She is one of the women busy getting things done, pioneers and determined to move things forward by acting at the very heart of their areas of expertise: Laura De Winne (12) is Head of HR at Schlumberger New Energy, one of the world leaders low carbon energy technologies. With more than 10 years of international HR experience in the sector, she has just been rrecognized as one of the top 10 Women of the Energy Transition in the Renewables category of the Transition Economist Initiative, the industry's leading media. Congratulations on this honor!

 

Jade Del Lero (MEB 06)

Deconstruct stereotypes, talk about realities and support the growth of the African continent: it is with these objectives that Jade Del Lero (MEB 06) operates as Principal Director of DPI. The African private equity fund has just mobilized $ 900 million for the financing of innovative companies that are leading the digital transformation of the ecosystems in which they operate on the continent.
With 15 years of experience in the fields of financial advice and private equity, he was previously Vice-President Corporate Finance at Société Générale in Paris then in Madrid where he covered the Iberian and Latin American markets. Jade also sits on the board of directors of Biopharm, General Emballage, Dolidol, CMGP and SICAM.

 

Mathilde Michel-Lambert  (95)

Just inaugurated, after more than 3 years of maturation, the Philharmonie des Enfants is a brand new space specially designed for children in the heart of the Philharmonie de Paris. At the head of this playful and interactive music house: Mathilde Michel-Lambert (95), an alumna expert in the cultural and media sectors for more than 20 years. After starting her career in several national institutions (Paris Opera, Radio France), she became a media consultant at Cap Gemini. After six years in Consulting, Mathilde joined the production management of France 2, which merged into France Télévisions, before being appointed Director of the Culturebox unit and Secretary General of Programs until 2018. That year she joins the Cité de la Musique to carry out this unique project which places musical culture at the height of a child. A bet that will undoubtedly be sucesful!

 

Arnaud Petit (04)

Associate Director since 2016, Arnaud Petit (04) has just been appointed Chairman of Edmond de Rothschild Corporate Finance, the group's mergers & acquisitions advisory subsidiary. A sector in which he knows the finest cogs, with his 17 years of experience in finance. His career began at Lazard, then, in 2007, he joined the Parisian team of Lehman Brothers, taken over after the crisis by Nomura. In 2010, it is within the Financial Affairs of Rothschild & Cie that he will assume several executive responsibilities. In addition to his activity as an investment banker, he taught finance at Sciences Po Paris and ESCP. Arnaud has had many responsibilities within the Alumni Association and is still very involved in the life of our community. Congratulations!

 

Ling Fang (93)

Ling Fang (93) is one of these powerful leaders of the industrial world. She joined the Alstom group in 1995 on the group's Audit Department in Paris. In her 26-year career in the group, she has held various international responsibilities: Financial Director for China, Vice-President Finance for the Asia-Pacific region, Vice-President Strategy and Market Development for the Asia-Pacific region, Managing Director for China, Managing Director pour China & East Asia, and now President of Asia Pacific Region. Not only is she ensuring remarkable performances with this global transport giant, she also shatters the glass ceilings and is proving to be a figurehead of diversity in this sector.

 

Clément Delangue (12)

Not all start-ups are lucky enough to be supported by NBA star Kevin Durant but this is what Clément Delangue (12), who co-founded Hugging Face, can boast of. The Franco-American company based in New York has just raised $40M  for its ambitious project: pooling the strengths of researchers and companies to develop a better understanding of natural language by algorithms, by opting for an open-source approach. According to Clément, "a single company, even among the GAFA, will not be able to produce this fantastic advance for humanity that is the understanding of human language by machines. Working with the whole community is for us the only solution to get there." Congratulations to him for this achievement!

 

Elodie Perthuisot (EMBA 08)

Elodie Perthuisot (EMBA 08) is gaining ground at Carrefour: the one who was already e-commerce director of Carrefour France was propelled, in addition, to the head of the digital transformation of the group, of which she joined the Executive Committee as well. She will be able to draw on her experience acquired at Fnac-Darty, where she coordinated the omnichannel transformation.
"The crisis has reinforced our choices to accelerate our e-commerce-related services with a quality of service that we are watching," she says, announcing the accelerated development of delivery services in France and in Europe.

Nicola Allieta (10)

An alumnus behind Netflix's first Italian original documentary series: "SanPa" tells the story of a giant rehab community, created by a farmer with controversial methods in the 1970s. Italian producer Nicola Allieta (10 ) is the one who made this success possible . Yet, it was in France that he began his career with Studio Canal in Paris, then in the distribution of films, documentaries and television series on Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix platforms. The key to producing a film or series is understanding which themes are interesting and likely to generate interest in the audience, as well as finding funds. Mission accomplished for the SanPa project which convinced Netflix and meet its audience!

 

Mathurin Jidjouc Kamdem (EMBA 2000)

At the end of 2020, the Douala Grand Mall was inaugurated in the Cameroonian economic capital. With its 18,000 m² built ecologically, 160 shops, 22 restaurants, a spa, a multiplex of 5 cinemas, it became the largest shopping center in Central Africa. Behind this project, Mathurin Jidjouc Kamdem (EMBA 2000) who, after spending twenty years within the Bouygues Construction group in France, decided to put his expertise at the service of his native country by creating, in 2012, Craft Contractors , which he still manages. Hailed by Cameroonian Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute, the center plans to generate more than 4,500 jobs and promises to boost the economy of the entire region. An ambitious project that makes ESCP values ??shine internationally!

 

Valérie Derambure (86)

Finance can and must have a real impact in terms of social and environmental responsibility: this is the watchword of Valérie Derambure (86), who has just been appointed CSR Director of the BPCE group. Three objectives for its new mission: inclusion in the region, green growth and the well-being of employees. A new challenge cut out for this sector expert who held high responsibilities within CPR group, in particular as financial director of the group's American subsidiary in New York before continuing her career at CIC Paris, CDC IXIS Capital Markets then Natixis where she was appointed deputy financial director then director of organization and operational efficiency.
Finally, in 2011, she joined Banque Privée 1818 as Deputy Managing Director. Before joining BPCE, Valérie was Deputy General Manager of Ostrum Asset Management.

 

Matteo Borsa (03)

With a marketing expertise forged on the European, American and Chinese markets over 17 years, Matteo Borsa (03) has just taken the reins of the FCMG department of Facebook France. Its mission: to support brands on all of the group's platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Whatsapp). A new step suited to Matteo, who started his career in a financial start-up before joining Procter & Gamble where he revitalized brands like Ariel, Pampers and Braun. Later, at Bayer Consumer Healthcare, he helped accelerate the performance of skincare brands internationally. Good luck to him for this challenge!

 

Selma El Antari (16)

MADE IN ESCP

Originally from Esaouira, Morocco, Selma El Antari (16) is one of the winners of the WIA 54 program of Women in Africa. This 28-year-old graduate was honoured in the Health category for her family business Terre Brune specializing in the production and marketing of Moroccan terroir products, including argan oil. Advocating a vision of a more responsible trade, its labeled products are made in the local Cooperative Beni Antar where many rural women work. Born while Selma was still a student at ESCP, the brand is the result of a graduation work presented for obtaining her Master. A project made in ESCP to which we wish full success!

 

Patricia Delon (87)

NEW DEPARTURE

After 11 years at the head of the RATP marketing and commercial department and on the management committee, the journey continues for Patricia Delon (87) who has just been appointed CEO of RATP Travel Retail, a subsidiary of which she was already a director. A new milestone in an already rich career that began in 1987 at Lesieur, then in 1989 at Henkel France and Dior as product manager, before continuing at La Française des Jeux where Patricia was marketing director, and at Club Internet in 2006 as marketing and sales director. This customer experience expert will be responsible for enhancing transport spaces through the integration of shops and station services. Concretely, she will have to manage and develop 550 commercial premises, 30,000m2 of commercial space and 2,100 vending machines.

AT THE HEAD OF AUCHAN'S OFFER

He is the new face of Auchan Retail's offer: Thierry Aouizerate (89) has just been appointed group product manager. Experienced in the retail and consumer goods industry, he started his career in 1991 as product manager at Danone UF then in the international division as group marketing manager. Thierry then joined LU, as Marketing Director for the Nordic countries, and returned to France as Brand Store Director. His career then expanded to the distributors? side at Casino as marketing and sales director of Géant Casino and Casino Supermarché, then Group Marketing Director. In 2013, he was Deputy Executive Director of the property company Mercialys and then joined Orangina Suntory France as marketing director. Since 2018, he had been CEO of Schweppes Suntory Benelux. Béatrice FOUCHER (89)

PILOTING THE "DS AUTOMOBILES" BRAND

At PSA (Peugeot-Citroën) since last year, Béatrice Foucher (89) has just been appointed new Executive Director of the DS Automobile brand. A crucial momentum in this year of merging with Chrysler which will make the group 4th world player in the sector. Used to work for giants of the industry, this professional engineer spent most of her career at Renault where she notably led the electric vehicle business unit. A complex challenge to handle but which acted as "her fuel" she confides. We wish her a long journey!

Benjamin Vedrenne-Cloquet (2000) is a pioneer of Edtechs: by co-founding EdtechX Holdings, an investment company specializing in education and information, his ambitious objective is to develop the Edtech sector on a global scale by promoting investment. In late 2019, after his company went public, he announced the acquisition of Meten Education (China) and its digital platform Likeshuo for $ 535 million. The biggest transaction in the edtech sector made by a European player, it is also the first made by a French entrepreneur in China.

 

     

Francis C. LANG-AMIOT (54)

HEART OF GOLD

It is a magnificent and generous gift that this alumnus offers to the school for his Bicentennial: recognizing what ESCP has brought him, Francis C. Lang-Amiot (54) has committed to give ? 1 million to finance the international development and strategy of our school. He is the first graduate to make such a donation, we all hope others will follow his example!
After his diploma ESCP obtained in 1954, Francis pursued with doctorate in Economics in Germany and a MBA at the Harvard Business School. He then worked in London for the most prestigious firms in international finance: Lehman Brothers, Rockefeller Brothers & Samuel Hill.

Marie-José Donsion (94) is one of the leading women in finance. Once he graduated from his ESCP's Master in Management , Anass BOUMEDIENE (12) began his career in consulting at Bain & Company. It is there that he met his future partner, Mehdi Oudghiri, with whom he starts his entrepreneurial adventure: in 2015, they launched Foodpanda in the Middle East and then oriented themselves towards eyewear e-commerce. Based in Dubai. Eyewa, the start-up he co-founded and still directs, is now regarded as the largest eyewear retailer in the Middle East. Since its creation, it has raised no less than $ 8.6 million! Stéphane Roche (84) has been appointed Executive Director of Vivarte (La Halle, Caroll). A new step in a rich international career he started in 1986 at Procter & Gamble and then at the head of Pernod Ricard Russia. His CV is still growing with big names in retail in the 2000s: he is successively marketing director at Decathlon, CEO of La Redoute Benelux, Redcats UK and Cyrillus. Before being the new face of Vivarte, he was in charge of the brand Brice.

Nada Boustani (07) has been appointed Minister of Energy and Water of the new Lebanese government. After studying economics in Beirut, she graduated from ESCP Master in Management and then started her career in Paris as a consultant in the private sector. Back in Lebanon, she became involved in politics and worked in various cabinets of the Ministry of Energy before being appointed Minister. In early 2019, Jean Stéphane Arcis (87), co-founder of Talentsoft, European leader in HR software, announced a fundraising of 45 million euros. Its goal now: to make the former start-up a global champion! Expert and visionary, Jean-Stéphane participated in the introduction and development of HR solutions in Europe. He co-founded Talentsoft in 2007, after a career at Oracle and Siebel. The company now has nearly 10 million daily users and more than 2,000 customers, including CAC40 groups and big foreign companies such as Toyota and Deutsche Bahn. Marianna SZEIB (12)

 

AN ALUMNA HIGHLIGHTS THE CREATORS OF TOMORROW

Originally from Poland, Marianna Szeib (12) studied at ESCP, pursuing her Master in Management at the Paris, London and Madrid campuses. France wins her favor at the end of her international studies : after her graduation, she is hired by L'Oréal and then at Dior Parfums.

However, she felt the need to "make sense" of her activity and free herself from the constraints of a large group. In 2015, she founded Face to Face. The idea is to gather and introduce young fashion designers to the public, by offering them pop-up stores and an e-shop platform that also tells the story of these entrepreneurs, behind each brand. Thanks to her project, she is now in the running to win the "Business with Attitude" prize of Madame Figaro!

AN ALUMNA REVITALIZES "LES 3 SUISSES"

After her first career in the consulting and finance sector (McKinsey, Cinven), Karine Schrenzel (03) became an entrepreneur and in 2007 founded MenCorner, a men's cosmetics site. In 2011, she raises 1.3 million euros, joins forces with Olivier Gensburger - also her husband - and starts, under the banner ShopInvest, a build-up of fashion and decoration sites where she shares logistics, IT, e-marketing and customer service. This month, Karine and her partner are embarking on a major challenge: give a new life a Les 3 Suisses. By buying the brand, the duo wants to engage in a "great revolution of e-commerce, with a completely different digital editorial line, to make it the favorite brand of women again."

SMALL DISHWAHSER, BIG INNOVATION

Damian PY (17) has always dreamed of creating an industrial company and he did it! After a double degree from MiM ESCP and CentraleSupélec, he pursued two masters in Applied Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.

Entrepreneur at heart, in 2016 he created, with his partner, Daan Technologies, a start-up that is at the origin of Bob, the fastest and most compact dishwasher in the world. Fully connected, ecological and economic, it is aimed in particular at students and young active people.

Its production is part of a long process because Daan Technologies "revive a sector that no longer existed in France," they explain, they need "to recreate an assembly line and hire" to launch their innovation on the market and reach the widest possible audience.

ALUMNA AND MARKETING STRATEGIST AT FACEBOOK

She is the new pilot of Facebook France's marketing strategy: Mayssa Chehab (05) has just taken the lead of the Marketing Science division, recently created by the group in France! She will lead the department for Southern Europe (France, Italy, Spain and Portugal) and will be responsible for developing the strategy for measuring the effectiveness of partners' marketing actions on the group's platforms. She was for nearly 7 years Marketing & Insights Senior Manager for Google France and Europe.

Caroline FERRARI (89)

Alumna and French embassador in Denmark

Until then HRD at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Caroline Ferrari (89) has been appointed ambassador of France to Denmark. Aged 51, this enarch and graduate of Sciences Po and ESCP, spent her entire career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

HR Director at the Quai d'Orsay since 2014, the new ambassador was also prior to that, head of the External Relations Department of the European Union (2009-2010), Minister Counselor at the French Embassy in Berlin (Germany), then on the move to the General Secretariat of European Affairs, which reports to the Prime Minister, as Deputy Secretary General for European Affairs from 2013 to 2014.

This appointment to represent France in Denmark comes as a culmination of a professional journey in the service of the public sector. Congratulations!


 

                                                                                    

Hélène PIETRINI (96)

Alumna and queen of flavors

At the head of 'The World's 50 Best Restaurants' in London: a French woman and ESCP alumna! Since 2016, Hélène Pietrini (96) directs the organization that some consider as the Oscars of gastronomy. Every year it delivers its long-awaited list of the 50 best restaurants in the world, drawn up by a panel of voters from all over the world.

After graduating from ESCP's Marketing Masters in 1996, Hélène held several marketing positions in brand management in international groups such as Unilever, L'Oréal or Dim. In 2012, she turned to the world of hospitality and catering by becoming Strategic Marketing Director of Relais & Châteaux, before taking the helm of the prestigious 'World's 50 Best Restaurants' organization.

With this project, Hélène mixes passion and adrenaline, with a culminating point every year: a high-profile ceremony to announce the ranking which brings together several hundreds of chefs at each edition. On June 19, it was in Bilbao that you could find the top of the gastronomy. #1 in the ranking was the Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy.

 

                                                                                    

Constance NEVORET (13)

Out to conquer America

At just 28 years old, and four years after joining the international management consulting group Amaris, Constance Nevoret (13) develops the firm's strategy in North America. After her studies at ESCP, her first experiences in startups and marketing (Westwing and HelloFresh), she joins the Amaris group in September 2013 in London for the health economics and market access, then she sets off for Canada to contribute to the group's international expansion.
She opens an office in Toronto in 2015, and in New York a year later. Today, she is Regional Chief Operating Officer and manage the strategy of the company which has 4 offices, 140 employees and 30 clients across the Atlantic. "I also wish to show to my teams that the fast path my career took is within their reach. The BHV network welcomes its new captain : Amandine DE SOUZA (04) has been appointed at the head of the famous Parisian department stores BHV, part of the Galeries Lafayette group, for France and its international divisions (Lebanon and Dubaï). She is also Household goods Purchasing Director of the  for the group.

A natural following to an already remarkable career path for this expert in the sectors of household consumer goods and retail. After working four years at the Retail department of Bain & Company offices, Amandine was director for household and non-supply goods in the Casino group between 2009 and 2015. Since then, she has been Executive Director of Westwing, a German e-business brand specialized in furniture and interior decoration.

There are a lot of new challenges awaiting her : enforce BHV Marais? position as ?lifestyle multi-specialist? department store, support the brand development et prepare the e-business launch of the Rue de Rivoli store. Our Alumni turning out in strength in the Executive Board of Pernod Ricard

"Our organisation is an living organism which transforms continuously to adapt to its customers and to its environment." Alexandre RICARD (95) said about the Pernod Ricard Group which he presides as he just announced an adjustment in the organisation of its Executive Board, placing 3 of our Alumni in new international responsibilities.

Christian PORTA (84) has then been appointed Deputy General Manager, Global Business Development, a newly created position. Gilles BOGAERT (91), has taken the direction of Pernod Ricard EMEA & LATAM. Finally, Jean-Christophe COUTURES (91) has been named CEO of Chivas Brothers, based in London.

The stated objective is clear: reinforce expertise on sales and marketing in the Group?s strategy and put it at the service of a ?consumer-centric? organisation.

Grégory BOUTTÉ (95)

A digital pioneer between paris and California

After graduating from ESCP, Grégory Boutté (95) started his career in the Fast moving consumer goods sector at Procter & Gamble. In the early 2000s, as a specialist of new technologies, he takes part in the blossoming of French start-ups by joining the newly created online auction company iBazar, that eBay bought in 2001.
Future e-business giant eBay appoints Grégory Executive Director for France, and for Europe in 2007. He then carried on his career path in the United States joining the eBay Motors & Electornics divisions in San Jose, California, in 2010.

In 2013, Grégory Boutté re-engaged with the entrepreneurship universe of start-ups as he joined American companies Sidecar and Udemy in 2015. In December 2017, he's appointed Chief Client and Digital Officer by Kering, he thus takes responsibility for the management of the group's digital transformation, and its development, e-business and CRM purposes.

 

 

                                                                                    

Aurélie ROBINEAU-ISRAËL (96)

She is the second boss in the city of Paris

At age 43, Aurélie Robineau-Israël (96) has just been appointed as Secretary general of the City of Paris. This nomination comes as a natural continuation of her career where she had the opportunity to work in the highest French administrations and institutions. After graduating from ESCP, Sciences Po and L?ENA, she entered the French Council of State in 2001, before joining the SNCF as Human Resources Manager and Director of social relations. Deputy director in the staff of Claude Bartolone when he was president of the French National Assembly, she was Deputy Secretary general for the City of Paris since 2014.

As Secretary General, she is now leading of team of 50,000 municipal employees and aims at contributing to the success of Paris? great projects. ?One of the greatest positions in public administration?, as she described it, this nomination comes as a culmination of a career path puts at the service of the public sector.

 

                                                                                    

Louis-Roch BURGARD (93)

At the head of an important Saudi project

 

Graduate from ENA (French National Administration School) and ESCP, this former General Finances Inspector was also at the head of construction global giant Vinci's Enegry and Real Estate divisions.

Just a year after being nominated Executive Chairman of Saur, Louis-Roch BURGARD (93) introduced an very ambitious industrial plan for this urban water management company. The management board decided to refinance its substantial debt by investing in a quick development in Saudi Arabia. Their objective is clear : rev up their direct competitors, Veolia and Suez.


This alumni is used to acts of force; When he was at the head of Vinci Real Estate division, he already negociated on the TGV trainline between Paris and Bordeaux !

 

                                                                                    

Géraldine CASEY (04)

An alumnus with a golden voice !

 

Géraldine CASEY (95) starts opera singing at the age of 16, way before graduating from ESCP! After her graduate studies and a brief experience as an analyst at BNP Paribas, she decides that it is time to go back to singing. To perfect her craft, she graduated in execution and concertist at the Normal Music School in Paris.


Her career is then launched when she records several albums, among which a recital dedicated to Mozart in 2010 which has been widely acclaimed in Europe. Thanks to this work, she won several prizes among which the Orphée d'Or given by the Academy of Opera Albums. Her theatrical talents helped her get numerous opperetta roles, from Offenbach to Viennese operetta. "Besides her virtuosity, what strikes the audience is the generosity of her acting" wrote a journalist in French newspaper Ouest France about her performances.

In October 2017, the soprano singer was in Algeria during her international tour. An Alumnus with a remarkable career path, to follow in the future !

Thiaba CAMARA SY (85)

Make Senegalese women entrepreneur shine !

After brilliant business studies and graduating from ESCP in 1985, Thiaba Camara Sy returned to Senegal to practice as an accountant and auditor in her own firm. In 1990, she founded Deloitte Senegal and led to its expansion by becoming its Managing Director.

Thiaba is also co-founder of the Women's Investment Club Senegal, which aims to address the lack of visibility of women in the financial markets sector. The club accompanies this transformation in the economic life of West Africa which allows the role of women to take an increasingly larger scale. Last September, Thiaba Camary Sy left Deloitte and was announced as the new Executive Director of Operation Afig.


At 54, Thiaba Camara Sy is an accomplished woman and mother of three who does not lack projects for the future!

 

 

Sofiane BEN CHAABANE (04) et Claire LE MARECHAL (05)

Two talents to give a new boost to Tunisian textile industry

In 2011, just after the Tunisian Revolution, Sofiane BEN CHAABANE (04) meets is soon-to-be wife Claire LE MARECHAL (05), created LYOUM, a clothing brand developed between Tunis and Paris, proposing a modern Mediterranean style. Their concept: explore an original style to stand out from classical fashion industry from Tunisia and elsewhere, and make room again for Tunisian creators on the clothing market. Wholeheartedly modern, the LYOUM collections blends genres and draws its influence from the richness of Mediterranean culture, so important in Tunisia. Claire and Sofiane have settled in Tunisia, close to the Tunisian industry and they want to connect product quality and national craftsmanship.

As of today, success has been achieved since a second store opened recently in Mutuelleville, after the opening of the first one in 2012 at La Marsa, North of Tunis. Several pop-up stores in Hammamet, Paris and London were also launched.

Before starting this entrepreneurial adventure, Sofiane had been working in advertising (Saatchi & Saatchi et BETC) and Claire in marketing (Procter & Gamble and French fashion brand La Halle). This french-tunisian couple met in Paris just after their scholarship at ESCP.

Pierre-André IMBERT (EMBA 02)

An Alumnus advising at the French Presidency

For 20 years, Pierre-André IMBERT (EMBA 02) has been leading high consulting positions on socio-economical topics both in the private sector and within French ministers? offices. After getting a Masters in Labour Economics, Pierre-André starts off his career as a teacher-researcher. His career path takes a political turn when he becomes advisor to the Presidency of the Financial Committee of the Parliament, between 1997 and 2002.


After his MBA at ESCP, he spent ten years in the HR strategic consulting sector, diretcing the department of social engineering, re-orgenization and re-industrialization at Altedia. He also founded the consulting office Alixio. In 2012, after several years working in consulting offices, Pierre-André came back to public affairs as an advisor within the Ministry of Labour in charge of economical mutations and business relations. He was then appointed as director of the office of two successive Ministers of Labour. Appointed
general Inscpetor of Finances in septemebr 2016, he joined President Emmanuel Macron?s team as special advisor on social topics.

Between France and America : an Alumnus at the head of Ralph Lauren

Born in France, Patrice LOUVET (86), grew up between his native country and the United States. After graduating at ESCP, he followed a MBA program at the University of Illinois. Patrice Louvet started his career at Procter & Gamble in 1989, where he had the opportunity to work on 3 different continent (Europe, North America and Asia) mainly in the company's beauty branch. Since 2015, he was Group President of the 'Global Beauty' branch at P&G, a division gathering 12 brands.
On this month, Patrice Louvet was appointed CEO of Ralph Lauren group, as a replacement for Stefan Larson. In taking the leadership of one of the most piconic American fashion brand, the french-american intends to revitalitalize the brand's prestige.

Boris MITTERMÜLLER (05)

An Alumnus at the head of Foodora France

The racing of Foodora?s pink bicycles is now a common sight in our cityscapes. After starting his career in finance at Lehman Brothers, Crédit Suisse or McKinsey, Boris MITTERMÜLLER (05) became CEO of Foodora group for France since 2015. He now takes benefits from the intense experience of this food tech adventure: the relationships with independent couriers, the revolution for the digital economy and their future projects.

Founded in 2004 and developing first in its home market, the German company has launched in France the next year. Implemented in 10 countries around the world, 60 cities, it has more than 8 000 restaurants and 5000 couriers partners. Thanks to a young market and an increasing demand, Foodora allowed its restaurant partners to register a 30% increase in their revenues.

Hassanein HIRIDJEE (97)

An Alumnus contributing to Madagascar's international outreach !

Since he has been Head of the Executive Board of Telma, the first telecom operator in Madagascar, Hassanein HIRIDJEE (97) contributes to the economical and social development of the island, creating partnership with French phone operators such to develop 3G and 4G network throughout the country. Eager to foster a spirit of innovation in Madagascar, the young French-Malgasy businessman, also CEO of Axian group, invests in all Malgasy facilities projects and services (Energy, telecom, financial and real estate services). Hassanein forged his expertise starting working for Ocean Trade, his family business, just after he graduated from ESCP.

Soazig BARTHELEMY (MGE 14)

An alumna with a heart of gold

This girl from Brittany could have embraced a career in Finance, but instead, at 22, she decided to travel the world to meet women with an entrepreneurial vocation. Eager to find a meaningful cause to serve, Soazig BARTHELEMY (MGE 14) founded Empower?HER, a NGO which aims to support women initiatives worldwide and help them develop their entrepreneurial potential. To date, over 650 women have benefited from the support of the Empow?Her teams.

As a reward to this project, Soazig was included in Forbes magazine?s ?Forbes 30 under 30 Europe?, which highlights the best European social entrepreneurs each year.

Her motto: ?Go faster alone, but farther together?

Fabien NURY (98)


From comics to cinema: a renowned scriptwriter!


With the release of Guyana, the new Canal Plus show, which he co-wrote, you can no longer ignore Fabien NURY. This former editor of commercial videos, became in barely ten years, one of the biggest names in francophone comic strips. A successful author, he has published over thirty albums in various styles: historical narrative, thriller, literary adaptation. In 2015, the French comic strips? Festival of Angouleme even devoted an exhibition entitled "Fabien Nury, scenario maestro".
We therefore wish him as much success in the cinema, a genre in which he also seems to excel!

 

 

 

Shannon RENAUDEAU (13)

A Young Graduate with a bright future!

With the web series Jeune Diplomée (Young Graduate), Shannon Renaudeau (13) made her first notable steps in production. At only 27 years of age, this young Franco-British took inspiration from her own experience to create and self-produce by herself the first season of this show, sharing the first episodes on Facebook and YouTube. After three episodes, she was contacted by TF1, who offered to broadcast the show and support her for season 2. Honored by the press and rewarded with the Audience Award in the Humor category at the Swiss Web Program Festival 2015, Jeune Diplomée, still has great days ahead... as Shannon intends to continue the show?s momentum with a third season!

 

 

Omar Victor DIOP (MSP 06)


A Senegalese photographer at Paris Photo

At 36, Omar Victor Diop, trained at ESCP, and recruited by Ernst & Young as an analyst and by British American Tobacco (BAT) for its institutional affairs in Africa breaks from his career path. Passionate about photography from an early age, the self-taught photographer?s gamble paid off when he exhibited at the Rencontres de Bamako in 2011. From then, it all happened very quickly: Biennale of Dakar, Rencontres d'Arles, André Magnin gallery, success is on the cards! Recently, the Pernod Ricard group asked him to photograph its employees based in Africa for its 2015-2016 annual report; pictures that were then exhibited at the Paris Photo fair this month at the Grand Palais. A great photographer whose work is acclaimed by the greatest collectors!

The young Italian was recently noticed by the Spanish press. Indeed, with the opening of new Superga shops, Lorenzo BOGLIONE (MGE 10) is about to conquer the Spanish market. At only thirty years of age, the heir to the family business Basic net steers the worldwide sales strategy of the group. His success has been to have made the Superga trainer cool in Spain. According to him ?millennials don?t know what loafers are? In this context, the iconic brand created in 1911 still has a very bright future!

A talented writer

Already noticed thanks to her first novel Dans le jardin de l?ogre, Leila SLIMANI (MSI 08) confirms her talent as a novelist with the publication of her new book Chanson douce. The press ranks the book as one you cannot miss in this new French literary season. The young Franco-Morrocan author is already nominated for the Renaudot, Goncourt and Flore Prizes. For the French newspaper Le Point it is "a success and a confirmation that Leila Slimani is a talented writer". An alumna to read and a literary career to follow closely!

Jean-Paul HELISSEY (MiM student)

A silver student

 

Throughout the year, Jean-Paul HELISSEY has worked with an intensive schedule, alternating lectures at ESCP and training at the National Institute of Sport. This summer, he went to Rio with the French Fencing Team and won the silver medal in the Men?s Fencing Foil Team competition. At just 26 years-old, this MIM student who thrilled the French public, is now ranked among the great athletes that we will still hear about. Under his mask hides a true competitor!
