CANADA ALUMNI -  Marc Lijour: Quantum Computing : Dream or Reality ? - Wednesday , Jan   29th - 6 pm

Dear Alumni,

While Quantum science is more than 100 years old, marked by the discoveries of luminaries such as Planck, Einstein, and Schrödinger, and we may be quite familiar with its applications such as lasers and MRI, it remains mysterious for many. Quantum computing refers to the applications of quantum science to engineer and build computers able to leverage exotic properties such as entanglement and superposition. IBM, Google, Microsoft, and many startups are building quantum computers, but we're still far from competing with classical computers. How closer are we to achieve this goal? What impact this could have in the way we work, live, and play today? We may have to start to pay attention sooner than we thought. Join us to explore the future of quantum computing.

Marc Lijour (UPMC)  is an IEEE Member and adjunct faculty at International Business University (IBU), where he teaches strategy for technology management to his MBA students. He is heading business development and innovation for the financial services industry at Exaion ( EDF Group) . Exaion is the leading provider of cybersecure and ecoresponsible high-performance compute,  helping Fortune 500 with high standards for their compute (HPC, AI, Blockchain, Quantum, 3D...)
