The AURA Group is pleased to invite you to visit the Bugey nuclear power plant on November 15 from 9am to 1pm, in the presence ofElvire Charre, Plant Manager.
Only 32 people will have access to the facilities: first come, first served!
In view of the limited number of participants, we also ask you to let us know in advance if you are unable to attend once you have registered: this will free up space for others.
We're delighted to welcome Elvire Charre, who will give us an introduction to the EDF Group and the Bugey power plant, and review the key news from the energy sector.
You will then have the opportunity to discover the workings of a nuclear power plant from a number of angles:
- the industrial nuclear production site and associated environmental monitoring
- the machine room and turbo generator sets needed for electricity production
- air coolers, their operation and role
- the nuclear rapid action force, a safety force to protect the plant
- the control room simulator, for training control operators
As the perimeter of nuclear power plants and access to them are highly secure, you must provide us with the following information well in advance of your registration:
- Full name
- Date and place of birth
- Social security number with keys
- Current postal address
- Personal telephone number
- Personal e-mail address
- Copy of both sides of ID or pages 2 and 3 of passports: legible and all on one page in JPEG or PDF format - identify the file by the person's name
An administrative inquiry, required by regulations and EDF nuclear procedures, will be carried out by plant personnel prior to the visit.
To gain access to the facilities, visitors are required to wear safety shoes. Please specify your shoe size so that the plant staff can prepare the equipment. Don't forget to cover your shoulders, legs and ankles.
If you have an orthopedic metal implant, a medical certificate is required.

This information will be destroyed as soon as the visit is completed.
Finally, on the day of your visit, you ' ll need to be in possession of a valid national identity card or passport to gain access to the site.
The registration deadline is September 15, 2024.
The deadline for submitting the mandatory information required for the visit is September 25.
