Dear Alumni,
Sciences Politiques invites you to join them on Tuesday February 25 at 7pm at the Habtoor Marina for an informal meeting
with Patrick Weil, intellectual and observer of the French and American political scene, and of the geopolitical arena, during his visit to the United Arab Emirates.
Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Paris 1, Panthéon-Sorbonne, Patrick Weil was Visiting Professor of Law at Yale University until 2023.
A specialist in citizenship, secularism and immigration, Patrick Weil's latest book, Un fou à la Maison Blanche (A Madman in the White House), goes behind the scenes to paint a critical portrait of President Woodrow Wilson, including the exchanges between Ambassador Bullitt and Sigmund Freud. Patrick Weil's view of the world in the immediate post-war and inter-war years offers a highly topical perspective, shedding new light on relations between the United States and Europe.
