Jobsharing is a partnership between two people who share the same job, usually on a part-time basis (50% to 100%).
Still little-known in France, this practice is gaining ground abroad, notably to accelerate the feminization of executive, managerial and leadership positions. Motherhood is still the main reason why women drop out of the career ladder (work-life balance, part-time work, interruptions, etc.), and access to positions of responsibility still requires a high level of cultural availability. Sharing a job with someone else removes this obstacle, as you no longer have to choose between time and career.
But jobsharing has other facets too: dual expertise, a culture of cooperation, co-leadership, intergenerational transmission, "two-brain" work productivity, slashing...
