LA MAISON DE L'AUBRAC proposes La TABLE DU VIGNERON

LA TABLE DU VIGNERON

Great winemakers, star guests for exceptional evenings!
Each quarter, a different wine-growing region takes center stage. The Loire opens 2011.

On Wednesday February 16, our guest is
Thierry MICHON from Domaine St Nicolas in Vendée

Located in L'Ile d'Olonne in Vendée, close to the ocean,
Domaine Saint Nicolas is a Biodynamic vineyard covering 39 hectares between sea, forest and marsh.
The different grape varieties, grown on clay and schist soils, include Pinot Noir, Gamay, Cabernet Franc
and Négrette for red wines. For white wines, Chenin, Chardonnay and Groslot gris.
Yields range from 18 to 45 hl/ha. Thierry Michon is alone in his appellation.
The Domaine produces cuvées to be drunk young
with fruity, refreshing characters, and cuvées for laying down.

8:00 pm: tasting of 6 Thierry Michon cuvées

8:45pm: dinner featuring Thierry Michon's vins de garde
(Magnum de la Grande Pièce de 2002, etc.)
