The great-grandson of Anjou winemakers, I took a long detour to the Paris region before returning to the hillsides of my childhood.
For 20 years now, my obsession has been to prove that our schist, our climate and our Chenin can produce great terroir wines, both dry and sweet, on a par with those that have achieved such renown over the centuries.
There's a crisis with the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée in France today: it's become an income, without providing proof to the market of either the quality of the terroir claimed, or the quality of the winemaker's work."
