SAHARA experience IV

Do you know who you are? Do you know who you want to be?

Most of life’s big changes happen when we experience something special. I believe that this happens because we arrange ourselves with daily life. Not because everyday life is always unspectacular but because it keeps repeating over and over. Just as most of us don’t need to concentrate putting one foot in front of another in order to walk we can practice almost everything until it becomes a habit. Smokers even trained themselves to inhale toxic fumes until it became their normality.
These different habits add up to a full daily routine and makes us do many thing without even thinking about it. We lack the critical outside view on our lifes. What are you doing because you really want to do it and what just because you got used to it. To evaluate this in workshops may open some eyes to influence your life permanently I invite you to meet one of my best teachers.
2013 I went all on my own into the Sahara and learned for life. I found out that everything I thought to be normal could possibly be totally different. When I came back I changed many aspects in my life.
My journey was printed some times and I received interested feedback. That was when I realized that my journey had become an intensive part of my life. The best way to share that experience is to invite you on a similar treck into Sahara.

That’s why I decided to meet a very enduring master: the desert. I learned for myself, that life could be lived contrary to mine and still be considered normal in another region of the world. I started questioning the way I lived and adopted some changes. I received a lot of interested feedback for this journey which encouraged me to share the experience with other and therefor created the ‚sahara experience’ journey. I will offer mini workshops each morning as an impulse for the day but the important factor is the experience you have in the desert. With its international airport, Agadir will be start and end of our trip in the desert:

1st day: 12am we will meet in Berlin and fly together to Agadir on the Moroccon Atlantic coast. We stay for one night in a small surfers village at the ocean

2nd day: At dawn we will be picked up and travel via Ouarzazate and Zagora towards the end of the road, the last oasis in the desert: M’Hamid Al Ghizlane. In M’Hamid we sleep one night around a fire in the patio of a hotel. Time enough for a visit in the village and a last goof coffee.

3rd day: After getting the camels ready, who will carry all our water, we start at 7am, following the Draa Valley westwards.

4th day: We will cross the big stone plateaus towards the great dunes of Erg Chegaga

5th+6th day: We will walk in and through the great dunes where we meet our turning point to head back east.

7th day: Once again we will reach the dried up river Draa and reach M’Hamid again.

8th day: We will be brought back to Agadir to catch our flight back to Germany.

All together we will travel for 7 days, 5 of them walking in the desert. The daily distances will range from 20-30 Kilometer. Every person who does sport on a more or less regular basis will be able to handle the distances.

The five mini-workshops will be:

  • five senses to understand the subconscious
  • 16 basic desires for better decisions
  • nonverbal communication for less misunderstanding
  • questions your habits for more flexibility
  • five minute vacation for better preparation
